As an international organisation with far-reaching business relationships both in Germany and abroad, it is particularly important to us to promote and ensure compliance with social standards among our suppliers.
We made the Code of Conduct a fixed part of the MEWA Group and a prerequisite for all our business relationships back in 2005. The Code of Conduct and ethics sets out the minimum standards to be maintained, and where possible exceeded, in our business partners’ operations. Each year, we confirm our manufacturers’ compliance with this code by means of the Compliance Certificate.
Key elements of the Code of Conduct include, for example, the prohibition on child and forced labour, payment of appropriate salaries and the prohibition on discrimination.
